We are #MoreThanFootball

Blackburn Rovers Community Trust are proud to be involved in the European Football for Development Network's #MoreThanFootball action weeks which will highlight the many programmes, projects and initiatives implemented by the club's official charity.

Football, in many ways is much more than just a game. People rarely see the incredible and rewarding work carried out by Community Club Organisations each day. Which is why Rovers are to be involved in this year's EFDN More Than Football action weeks.

The #MoreThanFootball action weeks were established in 2017 and are a global campaign by the EFDN network to showcase and further broaden the reach of the many initiatives and schemes ran by club organisations. Ahead of this year's action weeks the EFDN network said:

"We believe that all European club, leagues and FAs go above and beyond organising a game with 22 players on the pitch. Following the success of the campaign in the previous three years, the 2020 More Than Football campaign will bring together the best of football clubs, players and leagues."

During the #MoreThanFootball action weeks, the participating organisations celebrate the work they do on and off the pitch on a local, national and international level.

Rovers will be highlighting the many inspiring stories within the projects and programmes ran by the dedicated staff. Everything from the achievements of the Blackburn Rovers Sports College to the dedication of the Premier League Primary Stars team will be highlighted as making a positive impact on the town's local community.

Keep your eyes on @BRFCTrust across social media for the promotion of community initiatives ran by Rovers as well as online challenges.

No matter which club. No matter what colours. We are one team. We are #Morethanfootball.
